Exhibition - Degree Show Collection

The objective of my degree show collection is to physically engage the wearer and the piece, and to initiate interaction between the wearers.  The work incorporates kinetic elements; encouraging the wearer to toy and interact with the pieces, and comprise of pairs of rings, which work together to reveal their true attraction.

For this work I was awarded the Assay Master's Award for Excellence in 2009, please click on the link to read the article.

A Pair of Fortune Telling Rings

The intention of this pair of rings is to promote interaction between the wearers, allowing them to read one another's fortune. The significance of the pieces is made apparent when the pair is brought together; one ring describing the fortune, the other, the time when the fortune will occur. The pieces work by the wearer turning the top piece of the ring, releasing one of the segments; revealing a fortune. Engraved silver and nylon.
